There is no unified standard for the absorption capacity of pants type sanitary napkins, which mainly depends on the material, thickness, and design structure of the absorbent core of the product. The absorption capacity of different styles varies greatly.

From the perspective of common products, the absorption capacity of lightweight pants type sanitary napkins is usually around 80-150ml. The absorbent core of these products is relatively thin, using a mixture of high water absorbent resin (SAP) and fluff pulp material, which can quickly absorb a small to medium amount of menstrual blood. It is suitable for moderate menstrual periods, daily activities, or short periods of use during the day, and there will be no obvious heaviness when worn.

The absorption capacity of medium thick pants type sanitary napkins is mostly between 150-250ml. With an increase in core thickness, the content of fluff pulp is increased. At the same time, multiple layers of flow guiding layers may be added to guide the uniform diffusion of menstrual blood and avoid local accumulation. It is suitable for situations with moderate menstrual flow, long-term outdoor activities, or short nighttime sleep duration (6-8 hours), and can effectively reduce clumping and breakage problems.

The absorption capacity of thick pants type sanitary napkins can reach 250-400ml or even higher. The core is made of high-density fluff pulp combined with a large amount of SAP. Some parts are also designed with leak proof side edges and extended absorption areas, which can cope with situations with excessive menstrual flow, such as postpartum lochia or early menstruation. Even if you sleep for 8-10 hours at night, you can stay dry and reduce the risk of leakage. It should be noted that the more absorption, the better. Products with higher absorption usually have greater thickness, and prolonged wearing may cause a stuffy sensation.

When choosing, buyers can estimate based on their own consumption: generally, one ordinary sanitary pad can absorb about 20-30ml. If you need to replace the ordinary sanitary pad within 2-3 hours of daily use, you can choose medium thick pants type sanitary pads; If it is prone to leakage at night or can penetrate ordinary sanitary napkins, it is recommended to choose thicker ones, while balancing absorption and comfort based on usage duration and activity scenarios.
